Dr-B.A.T. (Bird Alert Team) is a bird repellent gel formulation, a proprietary innovative solution developed by JJ Bio Co., Ltd, a Korean bioscience firm. Dr- B.A.T. has been developed and successfully marketed in Korea. Access into the international market is envisioned through an alliance with Agro Genesis. Dr-B.A.T. is a highly effective, eco-friendly, safe and easy to use bird repellent solution to agricultural and urban environment areas.
As of 7 Aug 2008 Agro Genesis Inc. was incorporated in Korea. The company provides agricultural solutions and services for Korean agriculture. Crop science, feed and animal health portfolio will be developed as priority markets.
Miracle Sweet increases potato yield by 15~25% in total yield and 40% in marketable yield by applying 12kg/ha tuber soaking or 20kg/ha soil drenching.
Trial results on potato in Jeju, Korea suggest that Miracle Sweet will contribute significant economic value to the growers. Miracle Sweet can be used in addition to compound fertilizers or as a substitute of phosphate component in compound fertilizers.
Agro Genesis Pte. Ltd. and BioTrack Technology S/B signed a distribution agreement, allowing Agro Genesis distribution rights of proprietary soil borne microbes for crop land use. The AMF (Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi) microbes will empower Agro Genesis’ crop solution portfolio.
A series of promotional product seminars and dialogue sessions was given to Malaysian rice growers. The experience of using Agro-Silica in other countries was shared with the participants. Hideaki Hasui, Chief Agriculture Officer of Agro Genesis give a presentation on how silica is recommended for use in Japanese rice cultivation. The seminars were held in Kota Bahru on 15 May, followed by Kelantan and Kuala Selangor on 16 May. Field visits were conducted in conjunction with the seminars.
Agro Genesis participated in the exhibition at the 5th International Crop Science Conference held in Jeju, Korea. Miracle Sweet, Greenstim and Agro-Silica were exhibited. Interim field evaluations were made at university and farmers’ fields for ongoing trials of Miracle Sweet on potato.
A new co-formulation of glycine betaine, FarmStim, was successfully developed through collaboration with DaeYu Co., Ltd. The product performs well in preventing temperature stress on apple during flowering and blooming stage. The product will help apple growers reduce economic loss from dropping flowers and incomplete pollination caused by unfavourable weather.
PROSTIM helps growth of turf grass in golf courses. PROSTIM is recommended to be applied every two weeks. Used together with Agro-Silica or NaturCal, PROSTIM improves root and shoot growth. PROSTIM reduces stress caused by dry and hot weather.
Interim evaluations were made for trials ongoing in Mekong rice paddy, the rice belt of Vietnam. Agro-Silica on rice focused on reducing disease and pest damage. Agro-Silica was applied 2~3 times by foliar application during rice growing period. Final result will be available at the end of the rice season.
